Types of Coverage

RemoHealth Core

Core

Entry-level benefit option providing in-patient benefits. These benefits focus only on elective and emergency treatments in-patient (in-hospital), as well as international medical evacuation.
RemoHealth Serious Matters

Serious Matters

Provisions for accident-related treatment, hospice and palliative care, as well as psychiatric treatment. All Serious Matters benefits are subject to pre-authorization.
RemoHealth Daily Matters

Daily Matters

Essential day-to-day benefits for all of those regular services (such as GP and specialist visits) and weird and wonderful tests (such as blood tests, X-rays and ECGs) that you may need.

RemoHealth Optical

Optical + Dental Matters

Includes preventative tests and checks (such as eye tests and dental check-ups), as well as routine dental maintenance and new glasses and contact lenses.
RemoHealth Wellness

Wellness Matters

Optional extras cover wellness screenings and preventative tests, treatment by psychologists, and complementary medicine practitioners.

RemoHealth supports both global and local health insurance plans across a wide range of countries.

  • Global plans are managed directly by RemoFirst and provide consistent coverage across multiple countries.
  • Local plans are offered through our in-country partners and tailored to meet local healthcare requirements.

Your employees may be eligible for one or the other depending on their location and your company’s preferences. We’ll help you choose the best option based on coverage needs and regional availability.

Are these insurance plans compliant with local regulations in each country?

Yes. RemoHealth plans are designed to meet local legal requirements for full-time employees.

  • Local plans follow country-specific health insurance laws and integrate with government systems where required.
  • Global plans are available in eligible countries and meet the standards for private international insurance.

We work with trusted partners to ensure your employees are covered compliantly based on where they live and work.

Can I offer insurance to both full-time employees and international contractors, and can I customize benefits per country?

At this time, RemoHealth is available for full-time employees only and not for contractors. You can still customize benefits by country for your employees by:

  • Choosing between global or local plans based on location
  • Aligning coverage with local legal requirements
  • Adjusting plan levels based on budget and coverage needs

This gives you flexibility to offer competitive, compliant healthcare benefits across your global workforce.

How are premiums, payments, and renewals handled under RemoHealth, and is billing centralized?

RemoFirst simplifies health insurance billing by managing all premium payments and renewals on your behalf.

  • For global plans, billing is centralized and handled through RemoFirst, with clear pricing and consolidated invoicing.
  • For local plans, we manage coordination with in-country providers and ensure on-time renewals and contributions.

You get a transparent view of your benefits costs, with fewer administrative burdens for your team.

What happens if an employee relocates or changes country — can the health plan move with them?

Yes, employees covered under RemoHealth Global Plans can retain their coverage when moving to another eligible country.

For local plans, the employee’s coverage may need to be reassessed and transitioned to a new local plan based on the new country’s laws. We help facilitate that switch smoothly, ensuring no gaps in coverage.

How quickly can I enroll a new hire in health insurance after onboarding?

In most cases, we can enroll a new employee in health insurance within a few business days after onboarding is complete.

  • For global plans, coverage typically begins at the start of employment or shortly after.
  • For local plans, start dates may vary slightly depending on the country’s insurance system, but we ensure alignment with legal timelines.
