Workday
Workday is a leading enterprise cloud platform for human resources and finance, used by thousands of organizations worldwide to manage their workforce from hire to retire. It serves as the central hub for employee records, compensation, time-off, organizational structure, and more. This gives HR teams a single, authoritative source of people data.
Because Workday sits at the center of enterprise HR operations, keeping it in sync with downstream systems like RemoFirst is critical for teams managing employees across borders. When data lives in Workday, it should automatically reach the tools that act on it: no manual exports, re-entry, or reconciliation.
This integration makes that connection direct and automatic.
EOR Benefits of this Integration
Connecting Workday with RemoFirst gives HR, People Ops, and finance teams a more seamless experience managing global employees. Workday stays as the system of record; RemoFirst handles the employment complexity behind the scenes.
Automatic worker data flow from Workday to RemoFirst
With a one-way data transfer from Workday into RemoFirst, you no longer need to re-enter worker records manually. When a new hire or update occurs in Workday, that information flows into RemoFirst to support onboarding, payroll, and compliance processes. This reduces admin work and the risk of conflicting records across systems.
Faster onboarding and offboarding
Actions taken in Workday, like marking someone as hired or terminated, can trigger corresponding workflows in RemoFirst. When an employee's status changes, a draft onboarding or offboarding task appears in RemoFirst prefilled with relevant details. This keeps HR operations coordinated across both platforms without any manual handoff.
Profile updates stay aligned
Approved changes to worker profiles in Workday, including compensation, job title, department, and personal details, automatically sync into RemoFirst. Both systems reflect accurate, up-to-date information without chasing changes manually or reconciling records after the fact.
Time-off entries synced for payroll readiness
Time-off data approved in Workday flows into RemoFirst as pending entries ready for your review. This makes it easier to account for absences when processing international payroll. No manual exports, uploads, or cross-referencing required.
Reduced errors and improved consistency
When Workday and RemoFirst share the same worker data, there's less room for inconsistency. HR and finance teams can trust that the records driving payroll, compliance, and EOR processes are accurate. All records come from a single source.
How It Works
The Workday integration works as a one-way connection from Workday into RemoFirst. RemoFirst does not write data back to Workday. Workday remains the source of truth; RemoFirst stays aligned with it.
Once enabled, RemoFirst uses a scheduled polling mechanism to retrieve incremental updates from Workday every 30 minutes, based on last-modified timestamps. This keeps records current without requiring manual syncs or custom development. A "Sync Now" option is also available in the RemoFirst platform for teams that need on-demand updates.
Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.0 using a Workday Integration System User. All data is transferred securely over HTTPS, with access tokens stored and refreshed automatically.
Clients control exactly which Workday fields map to RemoFirst attributes. Only explicitly approved fields are processed. Unmapped or unsupported fields are skipped and logged. Mapping configurations are stored per tenant and can be updated at any time without redeployment.
The integration also tags synced data so you can easily identify records that originated in Workday, helping you review pending onboarding tasks, offboarding workflows, and time-off entries directly within RemoFirst.
